Melissa Rycroft Dishes on Ashley and J.P.'s Chances and Why She Won't Watch The Bachelor's New Season

Exclusive! "I love that they focused on their relationship and not Hollywood," Melissa tells us of Ashley and J.P.

Melissa Rycroft knows a thing or two about reality TV!

Not only did she recently win Dancing With the Stars: All Stars, she also competed on The Bachelor and hosted Bachelor Pad, so who better to weigh in on The Bachelorette's Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum's chances after saying "I do" in front of ABC's cameras? 

So does Melissa, who has a daughter, Ava, with husband Tye Strickland, think Ashley and J.P.'s marriage will last? Plus, will she be watching the new season of The Bachelor? Here's what she exclusively told us...

"I have met J.P. and Ashley, and I think out of everybody, they probably have the best chance," Melissa says. "I love that they focused on their relationship and not Hollywood. I feel like that's the key to making these relationships work. We always see the relationships made and then, oh, they're showing up on red carpets and appearances and this and that and before you know it, it's not a relationship!"

Melissa believes that living outside of the Tinseltown scene has helped her relationship last. "We live in Dallas. We make Dallas our home," she explains. "I think when you come out and make L.A. and Hollywood your life and you focus so much on career and spotlight and paparazzi, there's no way you can maintain a normal relationship...We know when we come out here that that's part of the life and that's what you get, but you have to keep it private otherwise you forget what your relationship really is."

And sorry, Sean Lowe, but it doesn't sound like Melissa will be checking out your season of The Bachelor! "I don't know anymore, just because, obviously, after I was a castmember, I hosted on Bachelor Pad," she says. "I saw all sides of that show and I can't watch it anymore with that 'Maybe they'll fall in love and maybe this will be perfect' sort of eye!"
