Claire Danes has birthed a boy in her homeland!

The Emmy winner and husband Hugh Dancy welcomed son Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, their first child together, on Monday, E! News has confirmed.

Unless she was engaging in a little Carrie-esque subterfuge, Cyrus arrived a wee bit early, Danes having said on Anderson Live in September that the baby was due at the "beginning of next year."

She also said that they would not be divulging the sex of the baby ahead of time, either, although she admitted she was too impatient not to have found out herself.

"It's important to keep a little something to ourselves because we're so public and stuff," Danes told Cooper, though she may not have been giving herself and Dancy enough credit. Aside from her prominently pregnant appearance at the Emmys, where she won Best Lead Actress in a Drama for Homeland, Danes has maintained a relatively low profile, compared to some.

Cyrus' arrival happened to occur just a day after Homeland enjoyed its highly rated second-season finale—another explosive night of drama for Danes' troubled CIA agent Carrie Mathison and Damian Lewis' equally troubled turncoat Nicholas Brody.

Asked by Cooper what kind of a mom she wanted to be, Danes wrung her hands and mock-pleaded, "I hope a good one!"

"We're going to love this person, I know that," she said. Danes, 33, and Dancy, 47, tied the knot in September 2009, a couple of years after meeting on the set of Evening. They confirmed that they were expecting in July.

Congratulations to the proud new parents!
