Ah, the holidays. Time to deck the halls, sing a few carols and feast on…spaghetti and meatballs?

While we expected country superstars Faith Hill and hubby Tim McGraw to celebrate the holidays with some good ol' Southern grub, she recently filled us in on their unusual tradition of getting merry with a little marinara.

"One of our traditional meals at Christmas takes place on Christmas Eve," Hill reveals. "Tim cooks up the best spaghetti and meatballs. It is a tradition he grew up with because of his Italian heritage."

The couple is undoubtedly looking forward to heading home for the holidays for their quirky Christmas Eve dinner, having kicked off their joint Soul2Soul tour in Las Vegas earlier this month. But the country crooners also have a few more recognizable rituals, like indulging in one present on Christmas Eve.

"One of our favorite holiday rituals is to open one gift Christmas Eve," Hill shared. "A new pair of Christmas pajamas."

How cozy! We know we'd appreciate an elasticized waist band after chowing down on Christmas Eve carbs. And since most of us worry about growing a belly that shakes like a bowl full of jelly during the indulgent holiday season, we just had to find out how the always stunning Hill keeps trim during this festive time of year.

"I try to exercise a bit during the holiday season, but not much," she confessed. "I'll bust it pretty hard at the beginning of the year."

Hey, if it's good enough for her, it's good enough for us. And if you're think Hill belts Christmas classics from her albums during the holidays, think again. The songbird favors crooners from the 1950s, like Nat King Cole and Burl Ives. But you can sing along to Hill this season with this free download of "Silent Night, Holy Night."
