X certainly marks the spot for Hugh Jackman.
After reports surfaced that the star was in talks to suit up again as Wolverine for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the Aussie actor has now officially signed on for the highly touted sequel to 2011's X-Men: First Class.
Days director Bryan Singer broke the news himself on Twitter Tuesday, writing, "I would officially like to welcome @RealHughJackman to the cast of #Xmen Days of Future Past. Very excited! More to come..."
At the rate it's going, the buzzy sequel is quickly racking up a bang-up cast: Original X-Men stars Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, who were MIA from the franchise's last outing, have signed on for the film, which also stars Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender.
Moviegoers hankering for their Wolverine fix won't have to wait too long, though: Before Days of Future Past hits theaters in 2014, Jackman is set to headline the Tokyo-set The Wolverine, which opens on July 26, 2013.
