In light of the tragic mass shooting in Newtown, Conn., TLC is postponing the premiere of Best Funeral Ever, E! News confirms.

The special, which was originally supposed to premiere on Dec. 26, will now air on Jan. 6 at 10 p.m.

The show focuses on Dallas' Golden Gate Funeral Home and the elaborate specialty funerals they orchestrate.  The postponed special features a barbecue-themed funeral for a doo-wop singer who created a rib-sauce jingle and a State Fair-themed sendoff for a disabled man who was unable to ride roller coasters.

TLC isn't the only network making scheduling shifts in light of the tragic shooting. On Friday, Syfy pulled a violent episode of Haven that featured a school shooting from its schedule, saying, "We have decided not to air it. At this time, no decision has been made as to when the episode will air."
