Is there any way to say with authority who the biggest celebrity of the past year is?

As a matter of fact, there is. Or, at the very least, it's possible to whittle the list down to three or four people who influenced everything, from fashion to endorsement deals to Internet searches. And I have the names.
Yes, right now we've got a vote-in going on for E! Online's celebrities of the year. Right now, the top picks in the race include the list of Kristen Stewart and Anne Hathaway. Intriguing. But, you should know that as much as you may love those two, all of you who have voted for them so far are 200 percent completely wrong...scientifically speaking.
Because Jennifer Lawrence did better. We already know it, and the year isn't even over or anything.
Don't believe me? There is objective polling behind my announcement. The Davie-Brown Index, which measures, among other things, star popularity, awareness and influence, tells me that, among thousands of celebrities, The Hunger Games star had the biggest bounce in 2012.
"It's not just the films she's done this year, although that's a huge factor," says DBI's Jessica Nelson. "It's also her fashion. She lights everything on fire when she's on a red carpet."
So to speak.
"I wouldn't be surprised if she were one of the best dressed and influential women of 2013," Nelson explains.
"Yes, part of his rise has to do with his stint as an Avenger," Thor, to be precise, Nelson explains. "But he also has an appeal among women as a devoted husband and father. He's made that very well known."
And oh: Both of those people also happen to be way hot.
True fact: If those two got together, the Internet would explode.
