Lead singer Florence Welch may have taken the lyrics to the hit song "Shake It Out" a bit too seriously Sunday night when she performed at the Exhibition and Conference Centre in Aberdeen, Scotland.
While belting out the popular tune, Welch noticed two fans—a girl and a boy—fighting in the crowd, and in the songbird's unpredictable fashion, she climbed off the stage to tend to the young lady in tears.
"I can't have a fight in front of me while I'm singing this song. No fighting allowed!" Welch abruptly shouts. "I don't know what's happening but I would quite like it to stop. It doesn't matter whose fault it is."
"Excuse me, all of you, stop it," she scolds as the crowd laughs in amusement. "I'm sorry all of you if you're upset…Is she OK? Is she going to be all right?"
Cue mama-mode from Miss Welch, who proceeds to jump offstage and give the troubled girl a hug in the crowd.
"You all right, my love? You OK?" she coos in a comforting tone.
The beloved singer then hops back up onstage as her adoring fans cheer, telling the crowd to "be good to each other" before she continues on with the concert.
