Ashley Olsen's reported flight from Dallas to Los Angeles was definitely delayed, but it certainly wasn't due to an engine fire.

Reports surfaced today claiming that the fashion star narrowly escaped a terrifying plane fire after American Airlines flight 2421 evacuated passengers on the aircraft traveling from Dallas-Fort Worth to Los Angeles.

However, American Airlines spokesperson Matt Miller tells E! News that an "electrical odor" caused the issue, and there was no fire, explosion or any smoke that filled the cockpit, contrary to the original TMZ item

All 211 passengers were taken off the plane safely and were placed on a new Boeing 767, which is currently in the air to LAX. The flight delay was less than two hours.

The AA rep would not confirm if Ashley was one of the passengers on the plane.

Calls to Olsen's camp have not yet been returned.
