Did Eminem's 16-year-old daughter, Hailie Scott Mathers, really slam Taylor Swift on Twitter? Not so fast.

Despite reports circulating that Shady's spawn went off on the country pop songbird by allegedly telling her to "please stop whoring around," a rep for Eminem tells E! News the Twitter account from which the incendiary comment came is not hers.

The brouhaha got started after a series of tweets from the account @hailiejade_x not only blasted Swift but also knocked her budding romance with One Direction singer Harry Styles.

"If @taylorswift13 is really dating the love of my life @harry_styles I will not be happy!" wrote the impostor Hailie, per the New York Daily News.

That was followed by the tweet that swiftly brought the ire of Swift fans.

"Dear @taylorswift13, please stop whoring around with every guy you see. We all know you're only doing it so you can make another album," the faux Mathers wrote, adding "I am never, ever, everrrrr, listening to your music againnnn @taylorswift13. LIKE EVER."

Whoever was tweeting subsequently issued an apology, according to The Huffington Post, which managed to capture it before the impersonator shut down the Twitter page.

"Wow, I didn't mean for people to react to my tweet in the way that they have it was just a bit of fun! Sorry @taylorswift13 for my immaturity," read the mea culpa. "I believe I'm entitled to my own opinion, but that got out of control. I don't understand why there are 'news' articles written about it!"

That's why we have rap songs. Right, Em?
