We can imagine the disappointed look on Tim Taylor's face right now.

Former Home Improvement kid star Taran Noah Smith was convicted for driving under the influence and possession of concentrated cannabis stemming from his Feb. 1 arrest in a Los Angeles, E! News has learned, after pleading guilty to the drug charges and no contest to DUI in court last week.

Smith was in turn sentenced to a 12-hour program for the DUI offense, a six-month drug-diversion program for the marijuana charge and placed on three years' probation. If he completes the terms successfully and keeps on his best behavior for 18 months, the drug charge could be dismissed, according to Burbank City Attorney Danny Wei.

Smith's mess started when cops in Burbank noticed his 1998 silver Honda parked in front of a fire hydrant, and caught a whiff of marijuana coming out of his ride after approaching the vehicle.

Police searched the car and came up with the hash. Smith allegedy failed a sobriety test and was taken into custody on DUI charges.

He's due back in court in June.
