Stephen Colbert is the new Hobbit king. Nate Corddry is guest starring opposite Zooey Deschanel. And Ed Helms has taken over Steve Carell's coveted spot on NBC's long-running series The Office. It's safe to say that alums of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart on Comedy Central certainly do just fine after leaving their correspondent positions.

With the news of  Wyatt Cenac's exit, who's been a correspondent on the constant Emmy-winning The Daily Show, we thought it would be appropriate to catch up with other former comedians who braved the rough waters of political and pop-culture news.
