The folks behind this year's Rockefeller Center Christmas-tree-lighting shindig made their list and checked it twice—and it had loads of celeb names on it!

A slew of stars were on hand Wednesday night to celebrate the lighting of the famed New York City spruce, including Mariah Carey, Rod Stewart, Cee Lo Green and Scotty McCreery, who all performed for the packed crowd.

There was even a mini-controversy, as country star Trace Adkins took the stage while wearing an earpiece bearing a Confederate flag.

This year's tree is an 80-foot Norway spruce from New Jersey that survived Hurricane Sandy—the perfect embodiment of hope during the holiday season.

Here's what else went down:

It's Britney, Bitch: Watch the music video for will.i.am's new song "Scream and Shout," featuring Britney Spears.

Angus T. Jones Drama: Sources tell E! News exclusively that the actor is "likely" to leave Two and a Half Men after this season.

Foul Play: Uh-oh! Hours after his divorce lawyer battled it out in an L.A. court, Kris Humphries got ejected from his NBA game after getting scrappy on the basketball court.

Strapped In: Don't worry, guys. Kelsey Grammer's rep cleared up that whole car-seat controversy.

TV Land: Get recaps for X Factor and American Horror Story.
