Kate Middleton and Prince William's Rugby Date: Royals Visit Ex-Players, Cheer on Wales

Royals and rugby go hand in hand!

Kate Middleton and Prince William cheered on the Welsh rugby team in their game against New Zealand Saturday at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. The Duke and Duchess also met with former players at a pregame reception for the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.

William happens to be a patron of the Trust, which supports ex-team members—and their families—who've been severely injured while playing in Wales.

This isn't the only philanthropic organization Wills and Kate are involved in

Will, 30, and Kate, also 30, wore the Welsh Red Dragons' colors, but that wasn't enough to bring the team to victory: New Zealand beat Wales 33-10.

Hopefully, having England's future king and queen in the stands lessened the sting of defeat for the Red Dragons just a bit.

Meanwhile, William's father, Prince Charles, seems eager to get his own game on, so to speak: Britain's longest-waiting successor joked recently that he was getting antsy waiting in the sidelines to assume the throne.

"I'll run out of time soon," he cracked when chatting about his plans to restore East Ayrshire's Dumfries House. "I shall have snuffed it if I'm not careful."

Pretty, pretty princess! Check out Kate's royal life
