Yee-Haw! Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale Closer to Country Music Debut

The starlet gives us scoop on her upcoming debut album. Hello, Sugarland!

Lucy Hale may famous because of Pretty Little Liars, but the 23-year-old starlet is going back to roots.

She's hard at working on her debut country music album.

That's right, country music!

"I'm from Tennessee," Hale told me at the American Music Awards. "My mom lives in Nashville. I'm born and bred country. That's all I listen, too."

Hollywood Records is set to drop her album next summer.

And guess who she's been cowriting some of the three dozen songs she's already stockpiled? Sugarland's Kristian Bush!

"He said, 'You sure u want to do this? You're going to be put through the ringer,'" Hale said. "But I was like, 'I'm ready!'"

Hale knows she's got some work to do before she's headlining at the Grand Ole Opry.

"I have a long way to go and I have a lot to prove," she said. "But I'm really excited."
