Richard Cartwright/FoxIt was probably one of the most heartbreaking moments in Marshall Erikson's (Jason Segel) life, after his fiance leaving him in season one and the death of his father, of course. His former bromantic best buddy, Brad (Joe Manganiello) betrayed him by pretending to want a job at his lawfirm, when really Brad was spying for the lawfirm that he works for. The very same one that is going up against Marshall's in the biggest court case of their lives. Ouch.
In next week's episode of How I Met Your Mother, titled "12 Horny Women," Marshall confronts his old pal about his behavior, even bringing up the special brunch they shared back in season two. When the trial gets underway, Brad appears to be totally inept while trying to defend his company, until he pulls one nicely sculpted trick out of his sleeve. Or should we say, pants.
