Ariel Winter's family crisis could soon be over.

A hearing has been set for Tuesday to determine permanent guardianship of the Modern Family star as her sister, Shanelle Gray, and mother, Chrisoula Workman, battle it out for custody after Winter was removed from her mother's care amid allegations of abuse.

"Ariel is in a great place. Very safe and very happy," a source close to Winter tells E! News, adding that the actress is "in a healthy family environment with unconditional love and support."

According to documents obtained by E! News, the hearing is expected to include declarations from several individuals—including friends, colleagues and a pediatrician—vouching for Gray's ability to care for her younger sister.

While it's not yet clear whether the hearing will be open to the public, it does seem as if the end is near for at least part of this family drama.
