R.E.M. is back—with a little help from Lindsay Lohan, Terry Richardson and James Franco.

The Spring Breakers star was asked to direct the music video for the song "Blue," a track from the band's 15th and final album, Collapse into Now, and the video stars Lindsay Lohan as a washed-up Hollywood muse as she's snapped by fashion photographer Terry Richardson.

The five-minute clip is often shaky and out of focus as images of iconic Hollywood hot spots including the Roxy, the Chateau Marmont and the Roosevelt Hotel flash across the screen.

The Liz & Dick star sports a revealing black leotard and Terry's signature hipster glasses as she strikes seductive poses for Richardson in what appears to be late-night photoshoot after a night on the town (perhaps Franco felt inspired by LiLo's lifestyle?).

Franco also makes a few cameos in the clip, but the actor is barely recognizable as he dresses in drag and poses with a blond wig and red lips, making seductive faces at the camera.

The iconic rock band announced they were calling it quits after 31 years together last year, so the music video is an unexpected treat for adoring fans.
