David Petraeus Photoshop Fail: Book Cover Morphs Into Obscenity Live on TV!

Well, we suppose there might be some truth to it.

While reporting on the extramarital affair of David Petraeus that led to his resignation as head of the CIA, Denver's ABC affiliate put up a graphic of what it believed to be the cover of the book written by his biographer/mistress, Paula Broadwell.

Unfortunately, as Americablog initially noticed, the station inadvertently used a Photoshopped image of the cover, so that instead of the correct title, All In, the fake title All Up In My Snatch was shown instead.

Needless to say, 7News in Denver issued a statement regarding the mistake made during Monday's broadcast and to explain exactly what went, er, down.

"It was a regrettable and an embarrassing error," the station's news director, Jeff Harris, said. "We are mortified this appeared during our 5 p.m. news broadcast. The editor pulled the image of the book cover from the Internet without realizing it had been doctored. We sincerely regret the error and have corrected the story to avoid any recurrence of its broadcast. We are following up internally as well to avoid a repeat of this inexcusable oversight."

Now where's the fun in that?
