Ever wonder what it'd be like to date a rock star?
Well, now we know! Or at least, what dating Mick Jagger would be like—and apparently the "Satisfaction" rocker is quite the softy!
Sotheby's is set to auction off love letters written by the legendary rocker on December 12.
According to the LA Times, the notes were penned in July and August of 1969 and sent to American singer, Marsha Hunt (Mick's first baby mama).
Hunt says "The letters speak for Mick at an incredible juncture of our lives...The summer of '69 was the end of a whole era of revolutionary spirit—we didn't know it was about to die. And who knew that this group of boys making music would 50 years on be still celebrated as a voice of the period?"
So just how much does a love letter from a rocker go for?
Sotheby's estimates that the 10 letters are worth up to $159,000.
As for why Hunt's selling the notes? She told the Guardian, simply: "I'm broke."
Adding, "Anyone who has the impression that I have money knows nothing about me. I had friends who came to visit [me in France] from Pennsylvania and there was no electricity in the house because the bill had been too high, I was kind of grooving it with a wood-burning stove. One friend said, 'surely you've got something you could sell?'"
Well, surely indeed!
