New Star Wars Films: Quentin Tarantino Not So Thrilled

The Force has left the geek auteur, or maybe he left it as he doesn't care one bit for the new Jedi-themed flicks Disney's planning to make

Fanboys would probably be forgiven for assuming Quentin Tarantino is excited for the new Star Wars movies Disney plans to release starting in 2015 after head Jedi George Lucas sold his empire to the Mouse House last month.

But while attending Thursday night's Britannia Awards at the Beverly Hilton hotel, the Pulp Fiction director acted like he'd rather have his ear cut off Resevoir Dogs-style than sit through another trilogy—be it Old Republic or New.

"I could so care less," Tarantino told Entertainment Weekly.

Really, Quentin?

"No, sorry. Especially if Disney's going to do it. I'm not interested in the Simon West version of Star Wars," the Oscar-winning filmmaker added, apparently not a superfan of the guy who directed Con Air and The Expendables 2 either.

Alas, Tarantino didn't indicate whether he'd be interested in helming any of the future installments—though given his penchant for R-rated Spaghetti Western shoot 'em ups and buckets of blood and gore in his own flicks, we can't say Star Wars is necessarily his thing.

But heck, if he did direct, maybe he could work with Samuel L. Jackson again, right?
