Jonah Hill apparently doesn't rank among Don Lemon's favorite funny people. Or at least he doesn't anymore!

The two both admit to running into each other at a hotel—but that's where their stories diverge. According to Hill, he was perfectly cordial to the CNN anchor. According to Lemon, Hill was "rude" and "a tool."

Let's get their stories straight:

"Said hi to @jonahhill in hotel," Lemon tweeted this evening. "Think he thought i was bellman. Didn't know his name til bellman told me. A lesson to always be kind."

In response to a fan who called Lemon adorable and asked about the kindness comment, the CNN Newsroom host added, "@ArtemisLoud He was a tool."

Then Hill jumped in, tweeting: "@DonLemonCNN I said hi what do you want me to do move in with you? I was in a hurry. Didn't realize you were a 12 year old girl. Peace."

"@JonahHill Hardly," Lemon, who is openly gay, fired back. "You're not my type. But I know rude. And u were."

About an hour later, after a handful of users had applauded Lemon for calling Hill out on his rudeness and applauding the both of them for the awesomely awkward Twitter thread, the 21 Jump Street star rejoined the fray.

"@DonLemonCNN i walked out of the restroom and found you waiting for me," Hill wrote. "Shook hands, said hi and was on my way. Sorry if you found that rude."

"@JonahHill Was waiting for luggage," Lemon replied. "Bellman & I laughed at how self-important u were. Just being honest. Be nice. Stardom is fleeting."

Twitter bystander Gene Park perhaps summed it up best when he joined the thread and wrote: "@DonLemonCNN @JonahHill Hope you guys aren't staying at the same hotel."
