Praise the TV gods: Keri Russell is headed back to the small screen in a big (and oh-so-bad!) way.

As the first promo for FX's The Americans shows, the actress has shed her good-girl Felicity ways—though thankfully, not her glorious mane—to assume the role of a devoted Cold War-era KGB spy.

In the clip for the stylish new drama from Joe Weisberg (Falling Skies) and Graham Yost (Justified), Russell shows off some impressive action-chick moves and declares, "I would lose everything before I would betray my country." In other words, mess with her at your own peril, fellas.

Set in Washington D.C. during the early 1980s, The Americans finds Russell and Brothers & Sisters' Matthew Rhys playing a married couple living a dangerous double life. On the surface, they're just your average suburbanites taking the kids for ice cream and dropping off a cake at the neighbors, but behind closed doors, they're plotting against America and holding butcher knives to each other's throats. This relationship has "dysfunctional" written all over it—and we're loving it!

Check out the dramatic trailer below and then hit the comments to tell us what you think. Are you as excited as we are about Russell's TV return?

The Americans premieres in January on FX.
