Tomorrow the Hall of Honor; today the Hall of Shame.

It was time for the Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies, on Monday--the Oscars' so-called "Flip-Side Rival," dedicated to (dis)honoring the worst in film.

Screenwriter Brian Helgeland, who cowrote odds-on Oscar favorite L.A. Confidential with director Curtis Hanson, was the only bona fide Academy Award hopeful to be dinged by Razzie voters, as nominations for this year's spray-painted golf ball trophy were announced.

Helgeland's offense? He shares credit on The Postman. And for that, he's up for Worst Screenplay.

In something of a mild upset, the Kevin Costner epic about the Postal Worker With No Name was nominated in only four other categories, leaving an open field for this year's leading Razzie target, Batman & Robin.

That less-than-super superhero tale topped all comers with 11 nods, including one for Worst Picture.

Competing with the Bat(ty) film in that dubious category: Anaconda; Fire Down Below; Speed 2: Cruise Control; and, of course, The Postman.

New to the Razzies this year, a category decrying Worst Reckless Disregard for Human Life and Public Property. Nominated: Con Air; Lost World: Jurassic Park; Turbulence; Volcano; and, again, Batman & Robin.

Vying for Worst Actor: Kevin Costner (The PostmanThe Saint); Shaquille O'Neal (Steel); Steven Seagal (Fire Down Below); and Jon Voight (Anaconda).

Contending for Worst Actress: Sandra Bullock (Speed 2); Fran Drescher (Beautician & the Beast); Lauren Holly (A Smile Like Yours and Turbulence); Demi Moore (G.I. Jane); and Alicia Silverstone (Excess Baggage).

The Razzies will be presented on March 22--only 24 hours before the real-deal Oscars are handed out.

Industry types, journalists and movie buffs cast the ballots.
