Pink is the preferred color of little girls around the world, but the ultra-feminine shade is having a glamorously grown-up moment on the red carpet.

We're tickled pink with celebs like January Jones and Krysten Ritter, who are injecting fall fashion—usually characterized by darker palettes—with a bright dose of pink pieces.

Hot-pink hues automatically add a playful note to tailored items like Naya Rivera's skirt suit, which goes from business boring to red carpet-ready thanks to the eye-catching shade. Jones' high-collar, long-sleeve mini also avoids matronly territory thanks to the shocking shade.

So, how does one think pink when it comes to accessorizing with this latest red carpet trend? Those who want to wholly embrace the look-at-me nature of bright pink clothing can take a style tip from Rivera, who ups the color ante with contrasting green peep-toe heels. Emma Stone and Christina Ricci take a slightly less risky path, opting for patterned shoes.

For those who are little less adventurous, we recommend following Jones' example and choosing neutral items to pair with a hot-pink outfit. A blazer or scarf in the rosy shade is also an excellent way of slowly easing into the trend.

What do you think of the pink trend? Is the bright color too bold or does it offer the perfect pop of color?
