Well, it may have been Jesse Tyler Ferguson's birthday this week, but we're the ones who got the gift.

And that's thanks to his Modern Family costar Eric Stonestreet, who masterminded quite the surprise Monday night, when he arranged for 85 members of Boston's Gay Men's Chorus to surprise his TV beau onstage and launch into an all-singing, all-ribbon twirling, all-entertaining serenade.

And trust us, Jesse's surprise faces are well worth a watch.

The awesome encounter took place at the Wilbur Theatre, where the small-screen couple was conducting a Q&A. At least, they were conducting it right up until the curtains behind them parted and Jesse, who turned 37, was treated first to a rendition of "Happy Birthday," before the group launched into "Firework."

In which, ultimately, he joined in. Naturally.

"My TV boyfriend @ericstonestreet surprised me with a full Katy Perry medley from the Boston Gay Men's chorus! Amazing! Video to come!"

And it didn't take him long to make good on his promise.

"So @ericstonestreet surprised me with this performance tonight in Boston," he tweeted after the event, along with a link to the video on YouTube. "My favorite moment comes at 3:10."

As for us, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention 6:03. Just watch and try not to smile.
