Mandy Moore's 3 Rules for a Happier, Healthier Life

The star shares her secrets for a balanced life

Let's face it. Life isn't easy. Between work, play, relationships, responsibilities and more, it can certainly be challenging to keep everything in check. 

When we ran into the perpetually cheerful Mandy Moore recently we had to inquire how she maintains a healthy, balanced life and always manages to have a smile on her face.

Here's what she dished:

1. Everything in moderationThat means easing off indulgent foods, but also allowing for some leeway. "I'm not fanatical about anything, one way or the other," she tells us simply. "If I want to go out and have a yummy meal with friends, I will. I won't deprive myself of things."

2. Get plenty of sleep and drink lots of water: "I think the key is just to always stay hydrated!" 

3. Move your body: "I like SoulCycle, who doesn't?" Moore laughs. " I also like to hike. I live right by a park so hiking is really easy and accessible for me. It's like working out in my backyard!" 

Simple enough, right? Keep these in mind and you'll be just as calm and collected as Mandy in no time!
