It's not unusual for us to feel green with envy when we look at photos of our favorite celebs, but today, we feel an extra dose of jealously while peeping the latest party pics.

Because celebs of every shape and size are hopping on the green goddess trend and have been spotted sporting gorgeous gowns in emerald hues all over the globe as of late.

Both Kristen Wiig and Octavia Spencer wore green dresses to the Elle Women in Hollywood celebration Monday night and the ladies looked lovely as they tailored their individual looks to their own body types. The funnygal sported a simple, kelly green sleeveless dress, while The Help star opted for a long-sleeve look with sheer detailing.

Trend alert: leather moto jackets

Scarlett Johansson also stole the green spotlight in an Emilio Pucci number last week at the Moët & Chandon 250th anniversary party in Moscow. We love the forest hue with the actress' bright blond hair and the sheer neckline at the top adds just the right amount of sex appeal.

Salma Hayek, Ashley Madekwe and La La Anthony are just a few of the other celebs who love to don emerald-tone gowns. Hayek rocked a slightly more conservative style, while Madekwe sexed up her look with a plunging neckline and La La sported a crushed velvet version.

Trend alert: bold black and white

We think green is the perfect color to add a little punch into your fall wardrobe, and the flattering tone is great for every body type. If you're sporting a simple style, feel free to add a little jewelry to spice up the look, but keep accessories basic if the outfit has any over-the-top embellishments.

If you're not a fan of wearing of emerald clothing, try a dark green manicure to flaunt the trend on your fingertips.
