Matthew Fox isn't claiming to be blameless.

In a new interview with Men's Fitness, the 46-year-old actor admits to driving drunk this past May. But the former Lost star adamantly says he has "never hit a woman before. Never have, never will."

Cleveland bus driver Heather Bormann alleged that Fox assaulted her in August 2011. She dropped her civil lawsuit in May, but Fox admits the incident hurt his reputation. Also probably not helping Fox's public image? His former Lost costar Dominic Monaghan tweeted that the actor "beats women."

"I think there's still gonna be a lot of people out there who'll think it's true no matter what," says Fox of Bormann's allegations.

He does admit, however, that his DUI arrest this past May was "stupid."

"I will bet you any amount of money that I will never get behind the wheel of a car after even one drink," he says. "The rest of it, the Cleveland situation, the Monaghan situation—was a pile of bulls--t, and I'm not gonna waste too much breath on that."

Fox's new flick Alex Cross opens this Friday.
