Celebrity political endorsements are coming fast and furious as we head into the election homestretch, but a word to the wise: Proceed with caution.

Last night, Twitter handle @jake_gyllenhaal had everyone believing that, indeed, Jake Gyllenhaal is now backing Mitt Romney with this tweet: "As A Democrat, I'll say it now, I endorse Mitt Romney For President Of The United States."

The problem? The Twitter feed is not the Source Code star's but belongs to an avowed fan. Bigger problem? When news outlets pick it up as legit. (The account has since been suspended.)

Yes, proceed with caution.

Here's what else went down last night:

Lawsuit Smackdown: WWE legend Hulk Hogan filed two lawsuits over the release of his sex tape.

Golden Girls: Comedians and Saturday Night Live alumni Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are set to host the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.

Ladies' Man: Robert Pattinson was surrounded by beautiful women last night when he presented an award at Elle magazine's 19th annual Women in Hollywood gala.

Designing Young Women: Fashionistas Kendall and Kylie Jenner have announced that they will be releasing a teen clothing line in the Spring.
