Someone was listening to the post-Emmys buzz.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, NBC announced today along with Dick Clark Productions and the Hollywood Foreign Press.

Not that they didn't have enough haha cred working in their favor before, but the 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation stars were singled out for their respectively hilarious bits during last month's Emmy Awards, prompting the wise notion that they would probably do a good job hosting the entire thing.

But why wait, right?!

"The unparalleled comedic timing of Tina and Amy will surely have viewers wanting to tune in to see them in action," said HFPA president Dr. Aida Takla-O'Reilly.

Not to mention, they conveniently happen to be family talent, as both have critically beloved shows on NBC, and they make for a groovy counterpart to the Oscars' choice of Seth MacFarlane as host. (E! Online is also a member of the NBCUniversal family.)

The last three ceremonies were, of course, memorably helmed by Ricky Gervais, who shocked (and, in some cases, appalled) the first time but seemed to tone down the star-baiting on his latter go-rounds.

The 2013 Golden Globes will air Jan. 13 on NBC.
