Taryn Manning might be off the hook.

The 33-year-old actress and musician was arrested for allegedly assaulting her hairdresser/assistant in the early hours of Thursday morning at the Dream Downtown Hotel in Manhattan. On Friday afternoon, Manning's rep told E! News she has been released from police custody. The District Attorney's office, however, is still deciding whether to file charges against the Sons of Anarchy star, per People.

Manning's rep described the alleged assault between the actress and her assistant and hairdresser, Holly Hartman, as "an unfortunate incident between two very dear friends, who are like family to each other."

"The complainant, Holly, has indicated to the DA's office that she does not wish to proceed with any criminal prosecution against Taryn," added her rep. "We believe the situation at hand will be clarified and resolved between the two friends expeditiously."

A source told E! News that Hartman has worked for Manning for about a year and a half and is an aspiring musician herself. "The two have a tumultuous past and have a love-hate relationship," added the source. "They are around each other all of the time and this was bound to happen."
