When Stars Collide! Katie Holmes and Ethan Hawke Bump Into Each Other in NYC

Fellow actors have a chat while out and about in the Big Apple

We can now add Katie Holmes and Ethan Hawke to the growing list of celeb-on-celeb surprise meet-ups!

While walking the streets of NYC yesterday, Tom Cruise's ex-wife bumped into Hawke, who was sitting on the steps of a Big Apple town house.

Holmes, who was dressed casually in jeans and an oversized white sweater, of course stopped to chat with the fellow actor, who was sporting dark pants and a blue shirt.

Although Holmes was sans Suri, she did get a chance to meet Hawkes' adorable 1-year-old daughter Indiana and his pet pooch.

We're guessing little Indiana's a bit young for the celeb parents to be planning a play date just yet.
