Contrary to some rumors floating around, Jim Carrey is alive and well.
On Wednesday, an "RIP Jim Carrey" Facebook page was activated, claiming that the 50-year-old actor "passed away due to a fatal plane crash." But fret not: Carrey's rep tells E! News the page is fake and the Mr. Popper's Penguins star is fine. Phew.

Carrey, of course, isn't the first star to fall victim to the death hoax phenomenon. Chris Brown, Paul McCartney, Eddie Murphy and many more celebs have been killed off by the Internet.
