Seven breakout stars made their fall TV season debut tonight.

Why yes, of course we're talking about Arrow star Stephen Amell and his abs, which viewers got to see in all their (scarred) glory when the CW's take on the Green Arrow comics premiered tonight and introduced the latest bad boy/superhero Oliver Queen (Amell) and his hooded alter ego the Green Arrow.

Arrow was one of our top five new shows of the season, so we're dying to know if you were equally impressed with the action-packed drama or if you think it failed to hit its target.

After spending five years on an island after a shipwreck (expect lots o' flashbacks!), Oliver Queen returns to Starling City a changed man. Though he presents his former playboy image to the public, privately, he is the Green Arrow, a vigilante on a mission of revenge. (Think Batman Begins meets Revenge.)

Of course, Oliver doesn't have any superpowers, which makes him a complicated and relatable figure, according to Amell. "He doesn't have any superpowers, and that makes him vulnerable. And that's what we want people to connect with. We want them to see a guy who has the same day-to-day problems as everybody else," the star told us of his character.

Also starring in the series are Katie Cassidy as legal aid attorney Laurel, Oliver's scorned ex-girlfriend, and Willa Holand as Oliver's troubled younger sis Thea. Rounding out the cast are Susanna Thompson, Paul Blackthorne, Colin Donnell and David Ramsey
