If Chris Brown wanted his split with Karrueche Tran to be a breeze, the rumor mill isn't helping.

A rep for the singer tells E! News that reports he gave his model ex-girlfriend money so she could buy herself a new home are categorically "not true." His camp also refuted a claim that Rihanna had called Tran last week for a "heart-to-heart" after the break up, as had been reported by Britan's The Sun newspaper.

The article came a day after paparazzi photos seemed to show Tran exiting Brown's Los Angeles home.

Brown, 23, called things off with Tran, 24, and issued a statement: "I love Karrueche very much, but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna," he wrote. "I'd rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives."

News of their breakup came in the wake of photos surfacing showing Brown and Rihanna making out at New York hotspot Griffin and turning up at a Jay-Z concert together in Brooklyn, sparking chatter their volatile romance was back on.

Also fueling the reunion talk, the two shared a very public kiss on stage at last month's MTV Video Music Awards and Ri-Ri told Oprah Winfrey in a revealing sit-down that despite the brutal beatdown the "Run It" singer gave her three years ago, she still loved him.
