Anderson Cooper has nothing more to say to his TV nemesis.

On this coming Wednesday's edition of Anderson Live, a guest brought up the spat the newsman-turned-talk show host got into with Star Jones last week over his public coming out, prompting Cooper to state once and for all that he's "done" talking about it.

The row came up when Anderson was speaking via Skype to Ann Marie Avey, a Seattle native who was appearing with her cat Colonel Meow. When the CNN anchor asked her what made her feline friend so angry, she replied that she asked the Colonel about the former View diva and the cat purportedly quipped, "Who?"

Anderson Cooper rips Star Jones: coming out as gay was not a ratings ploy

"Don't get me in a war with Star Jones now. I said my piece on Star Jones. I am not one to have a feud," says Cooper. "She tweeted back something. I said my piece and then she tweeted me and I'm not responding."

Cooper is referring to the Celebrity Apprentice contestant's cynical comment on the Today show in which she said that his admission that he's gay was a ploy "for ratings."

Cooper replied on his own show that he was annoyed by that response, considering that he only came out via a letter that his friend, gay columnist Andrew Sullivan, posted on his blog at the Daily Beast in July. He also said he hadn't "thought about" Star in ages and was "unaware she was even on TV still."

Never one to shy away from a fight, Jones fired back with the tweet that Anderson said he'd just as soon ignore.

"I was wrong. @andersoncooper didn't come out as a ratings ploy. He used ME talking about him coming out @today show as a ratings ploy. #mybad," she wrote.

In tomorrow's episode of Anderson Live, Cooper reiterated his intent to not engage his fellow TV gabber.

"Actually, The Today Show tried to book me to go on with Star Jones so we could tussle. I was like, I've got nothing more to say, nor do I want to be in a room with her. I'm done," he says.

So far, no response from Jones.
