If anybody deserves to treat himself to an extra cookie, it's Go On's Ryan King (Matthew Perry).

After all, the dude's wife recently died in a car accident. But on the Oct. 9 episode of the just-picked-up-for-a-full-season NBC comedy, Ryan's support group grows concerned that the dryly funny sportscaster has entered the dreaded stage of grief known as compulsive eating.

As the exclusive clip below shows, it's a stage each oddball member of the group has experienced, though Ryan refuses to believe it applies to him. "I've had many hard times," reports resident blind man George (Bill Cobbs), seeing right through Ryan's denials, "and the good people at Pop-Tarts have a variety for each one."

Still, it's group-therapy leader Lauren (Laura Benanti) who tends to go on (and on) about a certain sweet treat we're betting wasn't part of her successful Weight Watchers plan.

Go On airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
