Princes William and Harry are in mourning.

Olga Powell, the nanny who took care of the royals during a 15-year period that included their parents' highly publicized divorce and the death of their mother Princess Diana, has died after suffering a heart attack. She was 82.

"The Princes have been informed and are very saddened to hear the news," a rep for the Royals tells E! News.

Powell had attended Prince Williams' wedding last year to Kate Middleton and she told the U.K.'s Hertfordshire Mercury newspaper in an interview on the couple's big day that the both Will and Harry "we're just like any other children" and "like my grandsons."

Despite retiring from her post in 1997, Powell remained in regular touch with the two brothers, attending Prince Harry's confirmation in 2000 among other royal occasions.
