How do you dress to celebrate a movie about butter carving? Smooth! Slick! Maybe a little greasy!
Well, OK, neither Jennifer Garner nor Ashley Green nor Olivia Wilde appeared particularly well coated in fat as they walked the carpet for Butter in New York. In fact, quite the opposite, because these are celebrities—they lose their Hollywood citizenship if they report for duty weighing more than a 12-year-old gymnast.
But their makeup did seem to be spread a bit thin. We'll stop now.
First there was Garner, who also produced the movie, wearing a strapless Gucci maxi and a cuff that, together, are about as exciting as a stick of unsalted margarine.
Greene, usually more flavorful in the sartorial department, wore a rather daytime-y blush number.
While Olivia updated an otherwise tired Queen Anne neckline with some shoulder pads she found on the set of TRON. We liked this McQueen—it was salty.
OK, really, we promise—we'll stop now.
