Lady Gaga has tackled detractors head-on about her weight. Now, she's facing trash-talking politicians.

The pop star has come under fire by a Gotham politico who chastised her for recently smoking pot onstage during a concert in Amsterdam.

But apparently, he didn't quite have all his facts straight, calling the 26-year-old a "slut" and an "actress." Hmmm...did the staff fact-checker have the day off?

Lady Gaga smokes a joint onstage in Amsterdam

The remarks were made on Monday by Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro at a kickoff event for a youth anti-drug program at Staten Island's Borough Hall, where he lashed out at the pop star for lighting up onstage.

"We have to understand that there's a tremendous influence with our youth, which I didn't have as a youth," he reportedly said, per the Staten Island Advance. "And there's the influence right there. Stop glorifying the drug use."

He then added: "There's Gaga. Here's this...this...I would call her a slut. This slut is influencing many, many children."

Molinaro, 81, stood alongside a poster showing a blown-up image of Gaga smoking a joint and later noted that his niece "has two daughters, 12 and 14, [and] they love this woman. Why? Why?"

He also made sure to fire off this parting shot: "To me, she's not an actress, she's a slut...in the pure meaning of the word."

How Molinaro interpreted the meaning of that word is well up for debate—Gaga..."slut"...really?—but he later defended his use of it, telling The New York Times, "Looking up the word ‘slut' to see if it was properly used before I used it, it said ‘improper conduct.' Now, isn't it improper for someone who is so high-profile to be smoking reefer in front of children?"

The diss arrives a day after Gaga boldly addressed criticism that she had gained weight, posting a raw and elemental photo of her in her underwear with the caption "Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15," and subsequently urging fans to "join a body revolution."
