There's a new cover girl in town.

After teasing readers for days about the mysterious woman they chose to cover the mag's 40th anniversary issue, editors at Ms. magazine finally revealed which superstar of sorts would front their special edition:

Wonder Woman!

The comic-book superhero was also on the mag's first cover when the feminist publication launched in 1972 with the title "Wonder Woman for President".

This time Wonder Woman is in Washington D.C. with women carrying signs with the slogan, "Vote as if your life depends on it."

"Wonder Woman has been an enduring symbol of women's power," Ms. executive editor Katherine Spillar said in a statement. "We could imagine no better way to urge women to use their own power-the power of their vote-to stand up for themselves and their rights in the coming elections."
