Just days after Lindsay Lohan was arrested for an alleged hit and run, the Liz & Dick star was rushed to a New York City emergency room for a respiratory problem Sunday night.

The actress, who suffered complications due to asthma, was "treated and released, and is doing fine," Lohan's rep tells E! News.

Lindsay's father, Michael Lohan, told the New York Daily News this isn't the first time the starlet has had significant issues with asthma, saying, "She's fine, but she had a bad case of asthma as a kid, so she has to take these things seriously. When she was a kid, we almost lost her a couple of times because of the asthma."

Michael said a lung infection had been bothering Lindsay for weeks prior to her hospitalization.
