The time of his life will still include The Voice.

Despite freaking out onstage last week at the iHeartRadio music festival, an incident which prompted him to seek treatment for substance abuse, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong will still appear as scheduled on the hit NBC talent competition.

NBC says the 40-year-old punk rocker will serve as a mentor to Christina Aguilera's team, having taped his stint on the show this summer prior to the meltdown.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong checks into rehab after onstage meltdown

Armstrong made headlines on Friday in Las Vegas after he stopped in midsong, and launched into a profanity-laced tirade against festival organizers for allegedly cutting the band's set short so Usher and Rihanna could perform.

While their fans seemed to love it, including Billie Joe smashing his guitar, Green Day subsequently issued an apology yesterday to anyone whom they offended, stating that promoter Clear Channel had not, in fact, cut their set short. They also announced that Armstrong had checked into rehab and that the band would be postponing promotional appearances for their new album ¡Uno!, which hit stores last week.

A rep for The Voice was unavailable for comment.

Meanwhile, Green Day's new album, ¡Uno!, is due out Tuesday.
