There's at least one trend packing major heat tonight on the Emmys red carpet.

Gunmetal was the color of choice for Revenge's Emily VanCamp (who knows her way around a Gray-anything), 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski, Elementary's Lucy Liu, American Horror Story star Connie Britton and Homeland's Morena Baccarin.

Britton's beaded halter dress with gold trim channeled the over-the-top image of the country superstar she's playing in her new series, Nashville, while VanCamp took a break from being the master of everyone she encounters' demise in an ethereal number with sheer cutouts in all the right places.

Baccarin's ruffle-accented strapless gown by Basil Soda is up for best performance by a plunging vee, and Hendricks' gowns (this one Christian Siriano) always deserve special Emmys for their, er, supporting roles.
