Warning: If you're a fan of "adorkable" TV comedy stars, you might want to sit down for this.

Despite Jim Parsons winning the past two years, and Zooey Deschanel being the TV comedy "It" girl, neither is favored to win Sunday night in the lead acting categories.

Here's our take on Lead Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series:

LEAD ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES

Should Win: Louis C.K., who has never won an Emmy for his starring role (along with every other behind-the-scenes role imaginable) on FX's Louie. Louie keeps getting better with every passing season, and, as this year's critical and fan favorite, he is due for a win.

Will Win: Louis C.K. Parsons didn't have the meatiest season, and the other contenders—Jon Cryer (who just moved back to this Lead category from Supporting), Larry David, Alec Baldwin and Don Cheadle—just don't hold the same heat as Louis (the man who does it all) this year.

LEAD ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES

Should Win: Amy Poehler. Ready for this earth-shattering bomb of injustice? The SNL and Parks and Recreation star has never won an Emmy despite five prior nominations for acting, writing and producing. Boom! Plus, Parks and Recreation, which remains one of the best network TV comedies of all time, and had its best season yet, was completely shut out of the Comedy Series race. Give this woman some Emmy love already.

Will Win: Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Talk about a crowded (understatement!) race! For the first time in 30 years, there are seven contenders for Lead Actress this year, and Poehler is up against some serious competition: Lena Dunham, Zooey Deschanel, Tina Fey, Edie Falco, Melissa McCarthy and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Louis-Dreyfus has the best odds of taking home a win, given her stellar performance on HBO's Veep, and the fact that she is a long time Emmy favorite, with 13 nominations and two prior wins.
