If Kate Middleton and Prince William needed a reason to put on their dancing shoes (or, you know, traditional Polynesian garb), they got one today.

Just as news of the royal couple's early legal victory against the magazine that published topless photos of a sunbathing Kate broke, the duke and duchess were enjoying the final full day of festivities on their Diamond Jubilee tour of the South Pacific.

Which apparently included getting down, local-style.

Wrapping up their time on the Solomon Islands after spending what was billed as their one-night second honeymoon in a private resort on Tavanipupu, the duo started off their day by boarding a plane to the island of Tuvalu.

Upon landing, the couple was greeted, as always, with a welcome reception (and piña coladas) that saw both royals carried by natives on elevated thrones chairs. Now that's some old-school regal behavior.

It was during the ornate welcome ceremony that Kate got into the spirit of things, donning traditional dress, including a headpiece and grass skirt, while Will also briefly wore the more ornate accessories before ultimately settling on the much more understated floral garland necklace.

During the ceremony, Kate sprayed the dancers with perfume, a local tradition that's a mark of respect and gratitude (their scent of choice, incidentally, was Paul Smith London for Men. Go figure).

After the early-morning festivities, the duo continued making the rounds, dropping by the University of the South Pacific, where they discussed climate change and its effects on the region, visited local children at Nauti Primary School, and later are expected to close out the day by judging a boat race and attending an official dinner reception.
