America's Got Talent Recap: Finalists Give It All They've Got

America's Got Talent NBC

Believe it or not, this is the beginning of the end.

Tonight marked the final performances on America's Got Talent, giving the remaining six contenders one last shot at winning a $1 million Las Vegas showcase.

Here's how tonight went down.

Read last week's recap

First up was David Garibaldi and his CMYK's, who wanted to "win this incredibly bad." Well, yes David, so does everyone else. But anyway, The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" began playing and suddenly it was a painting fiasco! But everyone knew that something amazing was to come of it, and something did.

By the final beat, Garibaldi revealed a portrait of Albert Einstein and the letters CMYK. The judges loved it and Howard Stern said, "This piece of art I would hang in my home."

After an emotional taped segment, comedian Tom Cotter attempted to get our spirits up with his "comedy cube." Host Nick Cannon rolled it, and the topic of jokes tonight would be "poor examples."

He starts off by saying that we can be bad examples for our kids. "Rub a dub dub, three men in a tub? That's a good image for the kids. Why don't we have a picture of them lathering each other up? Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. One hot chick and seven middle-aged dwarfs. That's an adult film. Every day they go off to work and call her a prostitute—Hi,ho! Hi, ho!"

Did you catch the last semifinal performances?

Kudos, Cotter. That was pretty hilarious. And his standing ovation proved that everyone felt the same way. "You are amazing. You're a terrific comedian. And in my book, a comedian deserves to win America's Got Talent and it should be you," Stern said.

The Untouchables reminded us why we should have taken dance class as a child, and continued to impress the judges with their routine to "Proud Mary." Sharon Osbourne gave the group a standing-O. All the kids' faces were full of ear-to-ear grins and that made us happy.

Sand artist Joe Castillo went up next and said, "Tonight I'm going to do a tribute to the show that has radically changed my life." What show would that be? AGT, of course!

Howard Stern called Jay Leno a "scumbag"

Starting with a photo of Cannon, Castillo then made the sand into a portrait of Howie Mandel, which then transformed into a shot of Osbourne and finally turned it into Stern.

The judges thought it was "amazing," but had a little doubt that their portraits were accurately done.

William Close and his massive harp took the stage and worked those fingers to give his "biggest performances yet." Sharon said he is a "visionary" and Stern commented that everything was so "unique."

Last to go were the Olate Dogs. There were little dogs driving cars, jumping hurdles, doing backflips and even wheelbarrowing to the judges' panel! "This is pure love on this stage," Sharon said, to which Stern responded, "Sharon, that dog might be a millionaire. You better watch yourself."

Who do you think deserves to win it all tomorrow night? Sound off in the comments!
