The Voice Recap: Jesse McCartney's Former Bandmate Gets Blake Shelton to Dance

THE VOICE, Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Carson Daly Mark Seliger/NBC

Ever wonder what the members of your favorite boy bands of yesteryear are up to?

Just watch The Voice! Yes, we were shocked during the NBC hit's third round of blind auditions when a former member of Jesse McCartney's boy band Dream Street tried to vocally woo Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton into turning their chairs for him.

So who was it and did he end up making it through to the next round? Plus, did China's version of Lady Gaga make it through?

A Justin Bieber look-alike impressed Cee Lo during last night's episode

Reggae singer Samuel Mouton, 19, is a pizza-maker and dishwasher at his family's restaurant, and thinks The Voice is perfect for him because he sounds different than he looks. His rendition of "Redemption Song" immediately gets Adam to turn around, and Christina and Cee Lo soon follow. Christina wants to learn Samuel's "turn-ons," but he decides to rebuff her and chooses Team Adam. Burn!

Chris Trousdale is a former boy band member who was in Dream Street with Jesse McCartney, but now works at a sushi restaurant. He sings The Wanted's "Glad You Came," and strays from The Voice norm by adding in some boy band-approved dance moves. Sadly, none of the coaches are impressed by his vocals. Still, he manages to get Blake to do the moonwalk, so we like the kid. Adam tells Chris he sounds like a dancer who sings and we completely agree with the soon-to-be American Horror Story star.

32-year-old Nelly's Echo was born in Nigeria, but left due to political unrest. Sadly, his father stayed behind as he was incarcerated. "Music was definitely a big part of the coping mechanism," he says. Nelly's Echo performs "Ain't No Sunshine," and Christina and Adam are feeling it. Because she turned her chair first, Nelly's Echo picks Christina as his coach.

2Steel Girls are a mother-daughter duo who are part of a family band. The girls of the fam decided to audition on their own. "This is the biggest opportunity we have ever had," momma Steel says of trying out for the show. 2Steel Girls perform "Before He Cheats" and even before they start singing Blake is interested. Cee Lo and Blake both turn for the gals, but they go with the country crooner after he promises to protect their bond.

Domo, 26, is a professional hip hop (aka "the cool kind) dancer who is China's version of Lady Gaga. At least according to Domo. "I can dance Janet, I can dance like Michael. I can sing like Mariah, Whitney, Christina, Celine." Too bad she lacks confidence, right? Domo sings "Don't Cha," and surprise, surprise, Cee Lo is the first and only coach to turn around. Good luck with this diva, Cee Lo, you're going to need it. This is our favorite audition of the season so far just because of how much the other coaches were sneakily making fun of Cee Lo for choosing her.

The last hopeful of the night is Nicole Nelson, 32, lives in what used to be a shoe factory. You guessed it: She's a hippie! She sings "Hallelujah" and her vocals inspiring all four coaches to turn and Adam to give her a standing ovation.  While she initially wanted to be on Team Blake, Nicole chooses Adam in the end.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
