You can't have an election year on Saturday Night Live without Joe Biden and Mitt Romney, so it's a good thing the man who impersonates both of them so well is sticking around.

Jason Sudeikis will return to SNL just in time for the show's premiere this Saturday, E! News has confirmed.

The seven-year SNL vet had been dropping hints recently that his time on the NBC staple was coming to a close, a rumor that only gained steam when Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg both exited the show.

SNL added three new faces this week

"It's just like playing in a community college. Everybody knows they're not going to be there forever," he told Men's Journal in July. "I've left places before. This is very, very different."

Even though Sudeikis is definitely coming back, Lorne Michaels revealed in an interview with the The New York Times that the funnyman might not stick around for the entire season.

"Right now the idea is that Jason will go through at least until January," the SNL boss said. "[However] he's a fiercely loyal guy, both to the show and to me."

Sudeikis, 36, has been enjoying a burgeoning career on the big screen recently, with Horrible Bosses, The Campaign and the upcoming rom-com Relanxious, which he filmed with girlfriend Olivia Wilde.
