James Franco may have put out a casting notice last month in search of Lindsay Lohan types to be in a movie about two Hollywood celebrities, but it doesn't mean he's actually making a film about her.

The same notice also said he was looking for, well, James Franco types to be in the same flick.

"That's something I really didn't publicize," Franco, 34, said yesterday at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of his new indie, Spring Breakers. "We just put out a casting call for a Lindsay Lohan and James Franco type. People just saw the casting call and picked that up and made up a lot of stories about it."

Some headlines screamed that he was making a movie about the two of them, while others claimed he was going to direct the starlet's biopic.

So what is it about? Franco isn't saying just yet. "It's really a project that's really under the radar for now," he said.

Franco wasn't at TIFF for long. After the Spring Breakers screening, he had to jet back to the U.S., where he is directing Danny McBrideTim Blake Nelson and Ahna O'Reilly in a movie adaptation of William Faulkner's 1930 novel, As I Lay Dying.
